Hi folks,

Here we are at the end of 2007. It has been a year of trial and tribulation with the weather conditions and the new shows that were tried. Some were good ,some were indifferent, but most of the new ones had good potential. Therefore the Events Office are expanding again, and so is Kingfisher.

Kingfisher's new show is Belvoir Castle between Grantham and Melton Mowbray. Some of you will remember that we did this show with Dave Hoyles a few years ago and Dave lost the venue to Old Glory who took over the running of the steam fair. Well, the fair has been successful but the Craft Marquee needs expanding and we have been asked to take over the management of the Crafts. We will endeavour to make this show as successful as possible for everyone concerned especially you the Exhibitor.

We have decided not to go ahead with the early Craft Fair at Victoria Hall due to the lack of support from the public. Even local people said they had never known Saltaire so quiet. But we are continuing with the 2 Craft Fairs at this venue in November and December. We feel that we can continue to make these events more of a success but unfortunately there has had to be a slight increase in the cost. This is due to the increased cost of the hire of the hall and road signage.

Now for the Events Office. As you can see from the list, there are 4 new shows included plus 2 vacant dates. These two dates are yet to be confirmed but will be as soon as possible. So lets have a look at the new shows.

Buscot Park Game and Country Fair, this is at Farringdon, Oxfordshire on April 26th and 27th.The venue is 20 miles south west of Oxford and being a Game fair it is not as reliant on the weather as a Steam fair.

Berkeley Castle Game and Country Fair, early Spring Bank holiday 3rd 4th & 5th of May. Berkeley Castle is 16 miles south of Gloucester .

Arbury Hall Game & Country Fair. This venue is just on the outskirts of Nuneaton in the West Midlands . I used to do Craft Fairs at Arbury with Rainbow Fairs 20 years ago and it was a very good venue.

Staffordshire Steam Fair, at the moment I cannot disclose the venue but I can tell you that it is close to Stafford .

So there we have it except to say that the other 2 new ones will be in Counties we have not yet visited. Hopefully, 1 will be in Cambridgeshire and the other near Edinburgh . With that in mind, it is looking like a very busy year for us all.

Dave, Jan, Andy, Elaine and Keri would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.

Thank you all for your support in the past and we look forward to seeing you all soon.

Dave and Jan Harrison
